Competition terms and conditions

This competition is run by Jane College.

Information on how to enter and eligibility to be entered into the draw and prize details form part of these conditions.

The competition prize consist of:

• Two night’s accommodation for 6 people at the Pearl at White Beach in December 2025
• Entry to the Port Arthur Ghost Tour for 6 people.
• $200 gift card for Hillstreet Grocer

To enter, participants must:

• Follow Jane on Instagram or Facebook
• Tag the 5 friends that they want to take on the competition post on Instagram or Facebook
• Register for Open Day or a private tour via the competition form on the Jane website
• Attend Open Day at Jane on 14 September, or a  private Tour of our Hobart Campus by end of competition date.

Current Jane students are eligible for entry if they have completed an application to live at Jane in 2026 prior to competition closing date. They must sign and return the emailed Residential Agreement, the Student Code of Conduct, Payment of Fees Form and pay the Acceptance Deposit by competition closing date.

Entries open on Monday 18 August at 10am and close on Monday 15 September at 11:59 pm. Entries received outside this period will not be counted.

Entrants must be between the age of 18 – 21 years old by 15 December 2025.

Only one entry per person.

Once the competition has closed the winner will be randomly selected. 

Jane College will contact the winners by Friday 19 September.

If not claimed within 48 hours of offer the prize will be offered to another candidate 

Each winner’s first name may be announced on the Jane College communications platforms unless the winner requests otherwise.

Each entrant is responsible for their own travel and other costs associated with entering the Competition.

All six people staying at the accommodation must be 18 years of age by 15 December 2025.

Jane will share the winners details with the owners of the Pearl at White Beach to confirm the booking.

The winner will be required to pay a refundable bond of $1,000 to the Pearl at White Beach to secure the booking. 

House rules and conditions have to be followed and are the responsibility of competition winner not of Jane College.

Should property be significantly damaged/poor behaviour Jane reserves right not the offer a place at College, or to cancel an offer of a place at College. 

The prize must be used before 30 June 2026.

The prize or any unused portion of the prize are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged or taken as cash.

Entries which do not comply with these terms and conditions will not be accepted.

If for any reason the competition cannot be run as planned, Jane College reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the competition and/or amend these terms and conditions.

Jane College’s decision is final with respect to all matters relating to the competition and no correspondence will be entered into with respect to those decisions.
